90% of Surveys Completed!
First of all thank you to everyone who has filled out their Backerkit Survey! There's still a few of you who haven't completed your survey yet, so here's your reminder that it's the only way to get your digital and physical rewards for your pledges! If you haven't received your survey for some reason, please send me a DM and I'll look into it.
Sweet Revenge Layout Complete
All of the illustrations and the book layout for Sweet Revenge is complete, and we are now in the editing phase! Sean is now taking another pass over the next couple weeks to make sure everything is as buttoned up and clear and consistent as possible. After that, I'll be ordering one more proof copy to review before sending to print! We're on schedule to be fulfilling physical rewards in December, with digital going out sooner via backer kit.
While Sean is editing, I will be completing layouts for the deluxe art extras. The Maps are all nearly complete, but I still need to finish laying out all the cards and completing the layouts for all the pre-gen characters.

Backerkit Surveys Sent
All backers should have received their Backerkit survey in their inbox. Almost 70% of you have already completed it which is AWESOME. It was sent to the email you used to register for Kickstarter so please take a look at the right inbox and double check your spam folder just in case.
REMINDER THAT this survey is how you get your digital and physical rewards!

If your pledge tier included the digital or physical version of the Perils & Princesses core book, your rewards have just been sent via backerkit. Use your survey link to access your download.
Next Steps
Once you have your Survey complete, just sit tight for now!
Digital copies of Sweet Revenge and all the extras will be sent via Backerkit as soon as they are complete.
Physical rewards will be sent once we have all the completed books and extras. Once it's time for us to place the print order, you'll have one last chance to change your address and any add ons before we lock your order, charge for shipping and add ons and begin sending you your packages.

Backerkit Surveys going out soon!
Ok backers, Thanks for your patience as we've been working on logistics the past few weeks to make sure fulfillment goes as smoothly as possible!
The next step for all of you is to complete the BackerKit survey which will be sent out to the email you used to register with Kickstarter in the next few days.
Your Backerkit survey is *super important*
- You will use it to access your digital rewards when they are ready
- You will use it to confirm your shipping address if you're getting physical items
- You will use it to pay shipping fees when we get closer to fulfillment.
- You can add any additional items If there's another reward you'd like.
Production updates!
Over the past few weeks, here's what I've been working on:
- Completed the final missing illustrations for the Sweet Revenge book. That's another full page illustration, One two-page spread, two half-pagers, and one spot.
- Destiny and I developed 8 Pre-generated characters, with simple backstories, and stats that we're super excited to include with the digital version of Sweet Revenge, and in physical form for those who selected the deluxe character sheets in their rewards. (I illustrated all of those as well, check 'em out above!)
- Gathered quotes, paper samples, and production info for production and fulfillment partners. More info on these coming soon.
Next steps will be passing the book to Sean for another editing pass, after I finally make myself stop endlessly tweaking the layout!

Thank you all for making Sweet Revenge a reality!
We've been working so hard the past year to get to this point, and are so gratefull for the huge outpouring of support fromt the Perils & Princesses community as well as backers new to the game!
There's some more finishing touches we need to do over the next few months to get everything finalized. I seriously can't wait to share this adventure, and I will keep you updated on every step of the process.
BACKERS! Here's a quick rundown of the next few months. Important info below.
First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to make the rewards. This takes about two weeks before we get the funds.
Second, We’ll send out a BackerKit survey to confirm all your information.
We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it in a few weeks. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.
If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)
FILLING OUT YOUR BACKERKIT SURVEY IS HOW YOU WILL GET YOUR DIGITAL REWARDS
Answering your survey help us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.
*IMPORTANT*
If you used your Facebook or Apple credentials to log in to your kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link is sent to the email address you use for your account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact me.
Here's My To-Do List before we get to fulfillment
- Finish a few more illustrations to round out the book and the Pre-gen character sheets
- Finalize the text of the Adventure. This includes incorporating a bit of playtest feedback as well as another editing pass.
- Finalize production partners, review proofs and samples to get the best quality, most eco-friendly, printed extras for a reasonable price.
- Reach out to fulfillment/logistics partners to see if sending rewards via a third party would be economical, or whether I will be handling fulfillment myself.
- Prepare digital reward files and distribute those via Backerkit as soon as they're ready.
Again, I'll be posting updates here to keep everyone up to date on the process. Our goal is to ship physical rewards in December, with Digital rewards going out before then as they are ready.
NEW Pregenerated Player Characters Added!

8 Pregens Added to Digital Downloads!
Destiny and I have decided to work up 8 different pregenerated characters (one for each Gift) that will be specifically built for Sweet Revenge! Pre-gens can be great as inspiration for your own characters. Plus, If you want to jump right in to the campaign or use them for the Sweet Escape one shot, you'll have a bunch of options ready to go! Digital pdfs will all be included in the Digital Version of Sweet Revenge! That means every backer at the digital edition or higher will have access to these characters as part of their pledge!
If you want printed sheets for these Pregens
You're in luck. Printed character sheets for all 8 pregens will be added to to the Deluxe Character Sheets Item at no extra charge. This means if you selected the Deluxe Art Package,The Fairy Godmother Package or the Deluxe Character Sheet Add-on, you will be getting 16 total deluxe sheets. That's 8 blank sheets and 8 with a unique pregenerated character.
What are these characters like?
I had some ideas based on the cover art for Sweet Revenge as well as some other rtwork I had done. I passed along the basics to Destiny to fill in the backstory and give these characters some personality! Here's two examples!
Princess Hazel of Hickory Hollow
Gift: Powerful Friendship
Fairy Godmother: A fluffy, golden squirrel who rules the forest and appears as she pleases.
Background: When Hazel was young, she found an orphaned baby squirrel in the woods of Hickory Hollow and decided to adopt it into her family. Now, she’s rarely seen without her furry companion close at hand.
At first glance people notice my warm, inviting smile. Those close to me think I’m loyal and kind. Secretly Deep Down I want to leave home and see the world. What really motivates me is making my loved ones proud.
Princess Valerian of Goldenseal Ridge
Gift: Healing Touch
Fairy Godmother: A knight in gleaming armor who always appears before times of war or disaster.
Background: A loyal knight of their kingdom, when disaster strikes, Valerian is always close to follow. But their battle-hardened exterior and handiness with a blade hides a tender heart and healing spirit.
At first glance people notice my sharp, vigilant gaze. Those close to me think I’m fierce and energetic. Secretly Deep Down I want to be cared for. What really motivates me is helping others.
